Course Overview
In New World, students will be launched into a private Minecraft world where creativity, collaboration, and strategy come together. Before they set foot in this new land, they’ll plan what they want to achieve and how they want to play – with a few key ground rules to guide them.
Core Rules
– Respectful Play: No PVP (Player vs Player) unless both sides agree beforehand.
– In-Game Economy: All trades and purchases will use the custom Meta Buck currency.
– Community Living: Students must live in the same community as their classmates. While they can own personal items and projects, they must contribute to their shared village.
The Journey
– Students will work together to establish their village: choosing roles, setting
jobs, and planning how to build and expand their town.
– The world will be divided into private villages for each class, allowing them to develop their own unique community while seeing how others progress.
– Each class will have a Level System: to advance to the next tier, the village must meet specific requirements – from resource management to community growth.
Program Structure
– Weekly Classes: 1 hour 30 minutes each
– Class Size: Up to 12 students per group
– Village Progression: Collective goals and tiered challenges keep students engaged and motivated
– Special Events: Every 2–3 months, classes will compete in fun tournaments and challenges, including:
Mini games (like Bedwards)
Server-wide competitions
Custom games designed by students themselves
